My Client Tool’s performance is reduced, with slower response and/or timing out.

The Client Tool has not been designed to store large amounts of data. If are you using a stand-alone database and you notice a reduction in performance over time, you most likely need to free up space in your local database, following these four steps:

  1. Back up your local database, using the ECMPS Configuration Utility's Database Backup function. (You should always back up before purging data.)
  2. Purge old data, using the ECMPS Configuration Utility's Purge Data function.
  3. Clear your workspace tables. Contact Technical Support for instructions.
  4. Run the Database Backup again. This step is necessary to compress the database and free up space.
