For every post that is added to this site, there is at least one label assigned to the post in order to categorize the post. The labels are listed at the bottom of each post. If you want to see every other post associated with that label, simply click on the label link.

To make posts more accessible by the label categories, a sidebar category list has been added to the Blog. All of the possible categories are listed under "Categories" on the left side of the page. Subscribing to the Blog

Tuesday, September 4, 2007

The purpose of the ECMPS Beta Testing Web site is to provide testers and other stakeholders a central place to find information about ECMPS Beta testing. This Blog, which is associated with the Web site, is a way to make that information more accessible. In order to provide flexibility in distributing the information about Beta testing, the Blog is available online, through email, and through an RSS feed.

To get the information via email, you simply need to subscribe to the Blog. There are two ways that this can be done.

The first way is to enter your email address in the box on the left panel and then click the Subscribe button. The other way is to click here. Either method will bring you to a new Web page where you will need to enter your email address and a text phrase to prevent spam, and then you will need to click the Confirm Subscription Request button.

An email will be sent to your email address. To complete the subscription, click on the link in the email. At that point you are subscribed, and you will receive regular emails from the Blog.

If you have any problems signing up, view the troubleshooting information.

Note that your email address will only be used for sending ECMPS Beta Testing Blog updates.

To subscribe using the RSS feed, copy the following URL in your RSS Feed Reader: http://feeds.feedburner.com/ecmps

Or you can click on the "Subscribe in a reader" link located underneath the monthly archive list on the left panel. Copy the URL and paste it into your RSS Feed Reader.

Troubleshooting Subscription Problems

Thursday, July 12, 2007

The email update service allows people to subscribe to this blog in order to receive emails with the new posts added to the blog.

The subscription process involves two verification steps. The first occurs after the "Subscribe" button is clicked. A pop-up window appears. To complete the subscription request, you need to type in the alphanumeric characters shown in the pop-up window and click the "Confirm Subscription Request" button. An email is then sent to your email address. To complete the subscription process, you need to click on the link provided in the email. If you have problems subscribing, check the following items:

1. If you click on the "Subscribe" button and nothing appears to happen, check that your Web browser is not blocking pop-up windows. If it is, you will need to allow a pop-up window in order to view the subscription request confirmation window.

2. If you do not receive an email requesting that you activate your subscription request, check that your email will receive emails from confirmations@emailenfuego.net. This email address is used to send the verification email with the activation link. If emails from this address are blocked or put in the junk email folder, change your email to allow you to receive emails from this address.

If you think the email was put in your junk email folder, look for an email with the Subject of "Activate your Email Subscription to: ECMPS Beta Web Site". You can click on the link in the email to activate your subscription.

3. Once you have activated your your subscription, your email must receive emails from bounce-2147588@emailenfuego.net. This emails address is used to send the email updates. If emails from this address are blocked or put in the junk email folder, change your email to allow you to receive emails from this address.

If you still have questions about subscribing to receive the email updates, send an email to .

A Change in Email Update Service Providers

Monday, June 25, 2007

Following the problems with Feedblitz last week, the email service provider has been changed to Feedburner. The email updates supplied by Feedburner provide all of the same functionality as Feedblitz. In addition, the new email service allows the email templates to be modified to provide changes in formatting. The Feedburner emails are also a little cleaner without some of the unnecessary text of the former email templates. Finally, Feedburner is owned by the company that provides this blog, Blogger, which should mean better integration of services and less technical problems.

This change does affect people who have already signed up for email updates. For security reasons, you need to sign up using the new service. The process is the same. Simply provide your email address in the text box on the left side of this screen. Click the Subscribe button. On the next window, you will verify your request to subscribe. Finally, you will be sent an email in which there is a link you must click on to confirm your subscription.

The Feedblitz service has been cancelled. That means that your email address has been deleted from their database, and you will not receive any more emails from Feedblitz.

We apologize for the inconvenience. However, we think that this is a move to a better email update service provider.

Problems Signing up to Receive Email Updates

Thursday, June 21, 2007

This morning, we learned that people have had problems signing up to receive the email updates.

As of 10:30 AM EDT, Feedblitz, which is the third-party service that provides email updates from the ECMPS Beta Blog, continues to experience technical problems. The technical problems are preventing people from signing up to receive the email updates.

Feedblitz indicated that the problems will be resolved within several hours. A post will be added to the Blog, after the problem has been resolved and people are once again able to sign up for the email update. We apologize for the inconvenience.
