My Client Tool’s performance is reduced, with slower response and/or timing out.
The Client Tool has not been designed to store large amounts of data. If are you using a stand-alone database and you notice a reduction in performance over time, you most likely need to free up space in your local database, following these four steps:
- Back up your local database, using the ECMPS Configuration Utility's Database Backup function. (You should always back up before purging data.)
- Purge old data, using the ECMPS Configuration Utility's Purge Data function.
- Clear your workspace tables. Contact Technical Support for instructions.
- Run the Database Backup again. This step is necessary to compress the database and free up space.
