Why are calculated and recalculated values different for my flow RATA when I use the Calculate feature?
Calculated values, that is, Calculate-and-Replace values, differ from recalculated values for Flow RATA due to the following:
--Calculated values are produced by the Calculate-and-Replace feature, using the Reference Values from the RATA Run records.
--Recalculated values are produced by the Evaluation feature, which uses the underlying raw data values from the Flow RATA Run and RATA Traverse records to first calculate the Reference Value in the RATA Run record.
You will typically generate all calculated values using the Calculate-and-Replace feature, as follows:
--Enter the raw data on the RATA Traverse and Flow RATA Run screens.
--Use Calculate-and-Replace on these screens to generate various fields, including the Reference Value in the RATA Run record.
--On the RATA Summary screen, use Calculate-and-Replace to calculate the summary values from all the runs in the RATA.
If done this way, the Reference Value in the RATA Run record should be consistent with the underlying raw data in the Flow RATA Run and RATA Traverse records. The summary values should match the recalculated values in the Evaluation Report.
